A quiet heaven in the busy Ubud. The best part was the staff, Ulist and Ibu, who really took good care of us, showing us how the Balinese people live. Ayu Dira was so nice for the first days of our trip that we went back there to finish our vacations !! The MAIN thing that makes this accomodation better than any other is the lovely wonderful host, Ulist. Ulist is a selfless woman who puts her guests needs above all else! She stayed awake until 2 am to greet me from the airport, after a driver she arranged picked me up and dropped me off. She had snacks and tea prepared and showed me around. During my 4 day stay Ulist made sure I was taken care of. Her and her staff made me SO MUCH FOOD lol!!! Still the best food I have had on this island so far. She spent quality time having meals with me, getting to know me, and sharing her stories and the property history. She even gave me a little tour around Ubud and the markets at 5 am!! I was lucky to have the entire place to myself, but even if there were other guests it would have been totally OK. There is plenty of space to lounge. The property is immaculate, very well decorated, very comfortable. Talk about attention to detail! She has an entire map of the lighting so you can create your own ambience. My room was cleaned daily, as was the pool/kitchen/floors, etc. The bed is so comfortable, the place clean and comfy. I could hang out in the main lounge/kitchen area all day long (which I did lol). Her employee took my laundry to a place next door for me. The location is overlooking a small rice field. There is a warung close by with great food. The walk to the Main Street/downtown Ubud is a bit far in the heat (I did it and regretted it) but it is SO easy to order a grab/gojek and honestly Ulist and her employees were happy to drop me off too. Be fairly warned that the road where the accomodation is on is pretty loud. So if you're going to be very upset about noise then you should probably not stay in Ubud... Bring earplugs and wake up early! There will be some critters. You are in a tropical climate... Don't come to Indonesia if you're going to complain about that. With that being said, Ayu Dira does a great job of pest prevention and offers bug spray. Out of all the places I've been so far I got the least mosquito bites here. All in all, Ayu Dira is incredible and worth the price. I have never felt more spoiled, appreciated, and taken care of. Was so hard to leave... Love you Ulist!! Hope to see you again. We can't recommend Ayu Dira highly enough. A beautiful, tranquil place not far from the centre of Ubud and near lots of lovely Warongs. The rooms are amazing and the upstairs communal area is SO beautiful. Ulist, the host, was brilliant. The breakfasts she made us were delicious and she was so friendly and caring. I was unwell while there and she was so lovely, offering to help and making us lots of snacks. Das Ayu Dira Heritage House ist eine wunderschöne Anlage mit nur 3 Zimmern. Es ist jeder Zentimeter liebevoll gestaltet und erzählt seine eigene Geschichte. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt und konnten jeden Tag etwas Neues entdecken. Vor allem nachdem Ulist und die Geschichte des Hause erzählte. Die Zimmer sind neu und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Der Garten und Pool ist perfekt gepflegt. Unser Mietauto konnten wir auf dem Gelände in einem Carport unterstellen. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag fantastisch! Am Vortag konnte man aussuchen, welches Frühstück man möchte. Zudem bekam man täglich wechselnde frische Säfte, Früchte und eine indonesische Spezialität gereicht. Nachmittags wurden wir täglich mit einem kleinen süßen Snack und Tee/Kaffee überrascht. Das ganze nochmal einzigartiger macht Ulist! Sie ist eine wunderbare Person, die ganz viel Engagement und Liebe in das Ayu Dira steckt, sodass es für die Gäste ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt wird! Ulist gab uns regionale Tips und buchte am Ende sogar unsere Fährtickets auf die Gilis. Wer in der Nähe von Ubud ist, muss hier unbedingt herkommen! Wir kommen gerne sofort wieder!
